New Edge-Lit LED Light Panels Bring Impact to Static Signage

Kenilworth, NJ (March 18, 2011). Diversified Media Group (DMG) announced today the national availability of a new generation of LED Edge-Lit Light Panels which can be used for a variety of applications. The new product labeled DiamondLyte brings a brighter and greener product to the traditional light box market for advertising and the static communication genre.

DiamondLyte offers the advertising community a chance to reduce the depth of light-box marketing with an extremely slim design as well as reduce the carbon footprint associated with traditional fluorescent tube designed products. The product is also versatile with a variety of applications including architectural lighting and signage, exhibit designs, building exterior designs and large scale signage projects.

“DMG was looking for a non- technical product to coordinate with our very technical full-motion digital signage networks and retail experiential design implementations,” according to John Melillo, President. “DiamondLyte utilizes a proprietary etching process to create an infinite number of random patterns in the acrylic surface to disperse the LED light evenly, which greatly enhances overall brightness, eliminating shadow areas present with traditional products.”

Both DMG and sister company Diversified Systems will introduce the product to customers across the country for inclusion in projects now being designed for customers from retail to sports.

The DiamondLyte LED Panel uses very little power for the light output it delivers. The coupling of the LED light bar to the edge of the thin (3mm) diamond etched light plate ensures nearly all the generated light is channeled into the light panel and not wasted. This greater efficiency results not only in more light, but less heat. DiamondLyte LED Panels use 20 to 30 percent less power than similar panels.

The DiamondLyte LED Panel operates on a safe 24VDC. It is fitted with a high performance light bar to ensure the long life and low maintenance. All DiamondLyte LED Panels are ROHS compliant.

“Many of our current customers have shown significant interest in this product. We see a blend between active media and static media as an ideal application and complement to our current services,” said Alfred D’Alessandro, Owner and Chairman of both companies.

D’Alessandro also announced that industry executives Mark Lee and Russ Johnson would be heading up the new product line for the companies. Mr. Lee an experienced integration manager has been working for Diversified Systems for many years on various global projects. He will be in charge of logistics and day to day product fulfillment issues. Mr. Johnson, recently a senior executive with Harris Broadcasting Corporation will head up sales and marketing for the new product. Russ will be establishing a channel sales organization through a nationwide group of distributors.

MediaTile diversifies the partner channel by adding Diversified Media Group (DMG)

(January 21, 2011). DMG recently deployed the Media Tile solution for AkzoNobel, which is the world's largest global paints and coatings company (brands include Devoe, Dulux, Glidden, Liquid Nails, Ralph Lauren, with several more).  Screens are currently deployed in corporate offices and manufacturing facilities across the US and Puerto Rico. Because our digital signage is cellular-based, it is uniquely appropriate for AkzoNobel’s existing communications network, which is carefully contained (not unlike most large-scale company infrastructures).  The flexibility with which MediaTile signage can be installed and deployed eliminates the need for on-the-ground IT support and additional resources, without infringing upon the company’s network bandwidth.

DMG Completes Major Upgrades to Broadcast Center in Pennsylvania

Cranberry, Pennsylvania (January 2008). Diversified Media Group has completed year-long upgrades to their satellite uplink and data co-location facility. The upgrades of electronic equipment and terrestrial connectivity upgrades will allow the company to expand operations in business communications, distance learning, business continuity (disaster recovery), and digital signage.

A major part of the changeover is the addition of an Idirect hub for two-way satellite transmission. This technical improvement will fit right in line with DMG’s commitment to proactive monitoring for clients across all disciplines, according to Tom Percich, DMG Vice President of Business Development.  Percich added, “DMG will be phasing out our one-way DVB service in the coming year as we bring all our clients onto our two-way platform.”

Design and engineering for the change-out was handled by internal satellite and broadcast engineers from both Diversified Media Group and its sister company Diversified Systems. Procurement of new equipment and integration was also handled internally.

“This was an excellent example of utilizing the talents present within the corporation for achieving a superior engineering and construction build with speed and economy,” said John G.
